Hi everyone!
Welcome back to another
tutorial, my name is Mihran Kirakosian. Today we're going to work on 3 moves, 3
basic moves.
So, if you're a beginner this
is perfect for you! Just to start it off, we're going to start off with a step
touch. Real simple!
It's all about your attitude. It's
all about bending your knees, giving
that bounce, giving that flavor. Okay, so simple. Right to left,
we're going one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
Good.
okay so, a lot of people when
they do this and if they've never done it before, they
become very stiff and their
arms...they don't know what to do with their arms. So you want to loosen up the
arms. As a beginner, maybe just clap to keep the
beat. Just so your arms are working and then once you feel
comfortable you can kind of do your own thing. So I'll just do one with a clap,
six, seven,
eight. We're going one, two, three, four, five, six,
seven, eight.
Good.
As you can see, I bend my knees
all the time so I am in this bounce vibe the whole time. So not sitting up and
standing up like this, okay. So one more time. Five, six, seven, eight. Step
one, two, three, four, five, six, seven,
eight. So all I'm doing is going step, touch, step, touch, step,
touch, step, touch. So eight counts okay! One last time. Here we go, five, six,
seven, eight. Go one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
Good.
The second move we're going to
do, same idea but we're going to stay in place and our leg is going to go out
and then come back in for the touch. Okay, so we're going to step out with our right
leg, six, seven. And we're going to go step, bring it in, touch, step, touch,
step, touch, step, touch.
Good.
So, remember you're going to
stay in the center. You're not going to move, your leg is going to step out and
then it's going to come back in. Another thing to remember, you're always want to
stay on your toes.
Okay. You want to be able to
move quick. So when I step out, I don't put my leg flat
down on the ground. Yeah, it's always up on my toes. If you look
at it from the side, I'm always doing that. One, two, three, four, five, six,
seven, eight.
Good.
When I'm on the ball of my
feet, it is very easy for me to just switch anytime I want. So one last time! Staying
in the middle. Six, seven, eight. I'm going... one, two, three, four, five, six,
seven, eight.
Good. So let's connect move one
and move two together.
Here we go. Five, six, seven,
eight. Step one, two, three, four, five, six, seven,
eight. Second move, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven,
perfect.
Let's do it one more time.
This time no break in between
we just go. Five, six, seven, eight and one, two, three,
four, five, six, seven, eight. Step one, two, three, four, five,
six, seven,
eight. Good. This brings us to the last step, the third step which
is again, similar but now we're going to involve a slide. So what you're going
to do is similar to the
first one but you're going to take a big step out with your right
leg and then you're going to drag the left leg in to create a slide. So you're
going to go...one step, two, three step, four, five step, six, seven step,
eight.
Good.
Now, do the same thing but the
leg that I'm dragging stays on my toes and I drag it. So I go, one, two, three,
four, five, six, seven, eight.
Good.
I'll stand profile so you can
see my feet. Same thing, I'm going to take a big step back. You're going to see
me, uhhh, drag my right leg and you're going to see it on my toes. So you're
going to go, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
